It has been nice to interact with people again, even if it is from six feet away and from behind a mask. I met this family during their visit to the Otesaga Resort Hotel, a beautiful historic hotel set on the lake essentially in the middle of Cooperstown.
Read MoreI have to thank Regan for pushing me to start photographing small wedding ceremonies. When we chatted a year ago, I explained my focus was families, babies and toddlers. She was so relaxed and open-minded about her event I just had to be part of the day.
Read MoreI love meeting families experiencing Cooperstown for the first or second time. I have the opportunity to be a mini tour guide on portrait sessions as we explore some of the beautiful spots downtown together.
Read MoreI’m loving sessions out in the snow, so I’m so glad this family was willing to brave the outdoors! It helps when we hold the session in the backyard, so everyone can run inside and warm up from time to time! :)
Read MoreI had the honor of photographing this family’s first child, when they were a newborn and for their first birthday. So I was so excited to have the opportunity to meet and photograph their new sibling.
Read MoreWhat I’ve come to realize lately is that for these family sessions, the location is not as important as we may think. More than likely, the first thing you will notice when you receive your gallery are the people in the images, and the moments we captured. Don’t stress too much about where we hold the session. All we need is some great light — and you.
Read MoreI love how my Central New York families aren’t afraid to brave the cold for a session. As long as it isn’t raining, we are usually good to go.
Read MoreWe met near Cooperstown for this session full of fall vibes. Filled with butterfly chasing and some exploring, my time with this family of five flew by.
Read MoreThis session took place on the first day of fall, and when I arrived I was pleasantly surprised to find an array of flowers still in bloom. It was the perfect place to stroll with this curious and independent 4-year-old, who will become a big sister later this fall.
Read MoreI’m always in awe when I have the opportunity to meet these little ones so early in their journey. Baby girl was about six days old when I photographed her.
Read MoreIn and around Cooperstown, you really have to try to encounter a bad view. Everywhere you turn, we have rolling hills, greenery, trails, beaches, and more. You really can't go wrong with choosing a location in this area for a portrait session. And some of the perks of this job are being introduced to new scenery, and meeting new families.
Read MoreI thoroughly enjoyed my time with this family. I still can’t believe the energy these boys had -- and after a full day of activities. These kids didn't stop moving the entire session, and they certainly kept me on my toes!

Read MoreIf there was one thing I could guarantee about my upcoming family photography session with Kery, it would be to expect an adventure. We had planned a Sunday afternoon session at several locations on her family's property, and the last message I received from her before we were meant to meet was, "Bring your rainboots. :)"
Read MoreCade and his parents joined me on a beautiful fall day at Brookwood Gardens in Cooperstown. We spent some time wandering the paths down toward the lake, with a little game of tag thrown in for good measure -- one of Cade's favorites.

Read MoreThis session took place in two awesome Cooperstown locations. After having to reschedule once due to rain (thank you upstate New York), we met at this stone bridge with perfect weather for a family session commemorating this little on'es recent first birthday.
Read MoreThis morning I had the privilege of hanging out with Mercedes and her awesome family -- in the rain. Mercedes had family members coming into town for a limited amount of time, and 8 a.m. this morning was literally the only time everyone could be together for family photos. We watched the weather forecast all week, and while it waffled a little, the chance of rain never really dipped below 60 percent…
