Cooperstown, the perfect village for portraits

A trip to where it all began, but now with two young ones in tow. I may be over-romanticizing…or am I? It’s a day trip for them — about a five-hour drive to enter the village limits of Cooperstown. But honestly, can a trip to Cooperstown be over-romanticized? It is marketed as “America’s Most Perfect Village,” with an adorable one-stoplight Main Street, and a beautiful lake as its focal point. Otsego Lake is the source of the Susquehanna River, which is more than 400 feet long and empties down in the Chesapeake Bay. With views like the below, we could also call Cooperstown the “most perfect village for portraits.”

The Otesaga Resort Hotel rests its regal silhouette on the lake’s shores. And that is where I had the opportunity three years ago to document this beautiful family. And I feel very fortunate to have met up with them every year to provide them with images. This year we returned to the Otesaga for a mix of goofy smiles, dance turns and model walks. And these are just a few. :)
