Isabella and Lachlin – Sibling Photo Session in Cooperstown
It was so fun getting to know Stephanie and her family during this photo session. Part of why I like photographing families is having the opportunity to chat with new moms and their little ones, and this morning was no different.
The goal today was to capture some images of big sister Isabella and new baby Lachlin, who is about to turn a month old. Isabella was extremely patient for a 2 year old! While Lachlin was getting ready for the camera, we captured a few of Isabella by herself – and, she is a natural in front of the camera. Lachlin loved my faux fur blanket, so he was calm and wide awake for his photos, though we did get a good yawn!
I'm always interested to learn about the meaning or history behind someone's name. Lachlin and Isabella both have middle names honoring family members, which is really sweet. According to Nameberry.com, Isabella is Hebrew and is a Spanish and Italian variation of Elizabeth, which I would have never known. The name means "pledged to God." And Lachlin is a variation of the spelling of Lachlan, which is Scottish and means "from the fjord-land."
